Every piece of tree comes with it’s own unique history and quirks. It’s fascinating when at times I look closely ,start thinking of the many possibilities of using the reclaimed wood and recycled it into handcrafted home accessories / decoration. Usually this will result in a variation on some design I’ve carved before, but this Angsana wood scraps directed me toward something a little more different. I decided to design ,craved it into a fruit bowl accessories and enhanced the textures with Shou Sugi Ban finish giving it a contrast against the natural wood grains and color of the inner bowl. The finished results was a beautiful piece named - Shou Sugi Ban Kano Fruit Bowl that can be used as a home decoration or to hold your favorite fruits at the dining table.
